It's good to hear you plan on following through with your book writing plans. You have too much to share that will help others. I am very proud of you! Love, Jill

You're absolutely right Howard. The race "to build" a ministry isn't the way God intended. Jesus Christ builds his church and adds to it as he sees fit. Ministries that are trying too hard to grow will compromise on things like the Gospel which has a way of offending the unconverted. There will come a time when the Fish House experiences a sudden surge of growth and that will be when the Lord decides. As we draw nearer to his return (whenever that is) we will experience a new revival and then people will want to hear the Word and won't settle for a tickle on the ear, then you'll see growth. Keep preaching the way you do and the Lord will be faithful and keep your ministry healthy and vibrant. God loves his faithful shepherds and the flock are fed well at the Fish House.
I hope other pastors and leaders read this and receive this, as I believe God really put this on your heart for a reason. May God be glorified in everyone coming together instead of more churches splitting to form separate flocks. May God be glorified by gifted people joining with existing bodies to strengthen and grow what God has already planted and developed. May pride and competition diminish so that the Body of Christ may increase and flourish!

This is very true but I think even more dangerous is weak and watered down teaching that shifts the emphasis from God centered to man centered. Teaching as stated above must put Christ out front and not sweet sounding sentiments and man centered theology. Christ is all or he is nothing!

Thank you Pastor Howrd. I agree whole heartidly with you and this truth. None of us spend enough time in God's word.
Such a good message on Saturday night. The friends we brought with us are not Christians. Do you know how wonderful it is to know without a doubt they would hear a good message at the Fish House. You and Jill are so appreciated.
